Groton’s 3Rivers Arts is looking for artists and their works for the first festival of its kind (around here) this summer. Specifically: “the gargantuan, the strange, the colorful, the fantastic… the NINES!”
The Groton Senior Center is hosting a free, open coffee reception on Wednesday, May 29th at noon so the community can meet and greet Kathy Shelp, the new Groton Council on Aging Director.
Several hundred people attended Groton’s Memorial Day ceremonies in the Groton Cemetery this morning. The ceremonies were the highlight and mid-point of the town’s annual parade, which was viewed by a large crowd basking in bright sunshine.

About 40 adults and a few kids and dogs attended Groton’s Arbor Day festivities on Sawyer Common Sunday May 19, organized by the Friends of the Trees and the Groton Garden Club.
