The Groton-Dunstable Regional School Committee is looking for three residents of Groton or Dunstable to serve on the recently created Public Communications and Community Engagement Advisory Committee, along with three members of the School Committee and one representative of the school administration.

The purpose of this advisory committee is to assess the current state of School Committee public communications and community engagement practices, and to make recommendations to the full School Committee on improving its practices in that area. The advisory committee will make two reports to the School Committee: an assessment report presented by September 30, 2015, and a recommendations report presented by October 31, 2015. The commitment to serve on the advisory committee is limited to that time frame.

Ideally, members of the advisory committee would have some experience in public communications, survey research, or community engagement, and representation from different demographic groups in our towns is desired. If you are interested in serving on this advisory committee, please contact me by email at jkubick@gdrsd.org. The School Committee would like to fill the three spots at our meeting on June 24th.
