The first peaches of the season should show up at the Groton Farmers Market today

Groton Farmers Market spokesman Leo Wyatt reports that the first local peaches of the season are starting to trickle in, and should be available at the Farmer’s Market Friday afternoon. The tomato crop that began to show up last week should strengthen too.

The music for the Friday afternoon market is being crafted on site by John Niemoller, who will play from about 4-6 p.m.

Also featured this week is Common View Farm’s Sally Smith displaying a wide variety of fresh cut flowers.

The Groton Farmers Market runs from 3-7 p.m. on Friday afternoons through the summer at the Williams Barn, 160 Chicopee Row in Groton.
