Nicole Kromer, one of the organizers of the annual Florence Roche Elementary Walkathon, reports that Friday, “After a rain delay (from the planned date last Monday), the students at Florence Roche Elementary school raised over $4000 for the Blood Farm Fire Employee Assistance Fund. The exact number will be calculated the end of this week because some students may be still bringing in their pledges. On Friday morning, the students walked around the track and read a timeline of posters made by the 3rd graders to learn about Groton history. The student body was very excited to participate in this community service event!”
