The Groton Country Club is holding an Open House on Saturday, May 17th. According to a news release from the club:
“The fun-filled day will include games, prizes and refreshments. Adults and children of all ages are welcomed. Admission and participation in activities are free. The event will be held rain or shine.
Information Booths will also be available where guests can learn more about the Country club including golf, golf lessons, pool, swimming lessons, teams, summer camp, golf leagues, golf tournaments, Jr golf program, and event services. Come meet Jim Tennant, the new Head Golf Professional, and Katie and Luke Kenney, owners of the Blackbird Café in Groton, who will manage The Tavern at the Groton Country Club.
The Open House is fully supported by the Groton Golf Association which was formed in the spring of 2011 by a group of enthusiastic golfers whose goal is to enhance all aspects of the golf experience at the town’s foremost family-use recreational facility. GGA members will staff many of the information tables at the Open House and assist visitors as they tour the facilities and participate in the day’s events. For more information call 978-448-3996, or visit their website at: www.grotonpoolandgolf.com.
All guests who register that day will be entered into a drawing to win either a “One Week Family Pool Pass” or a “Private Golf Lesson with the Head Golf Professional.” “
