March is Women’s History Month. This year the Groton Dunstable High School Women’s History Month Club honors “Women of Courage and Commitment” in a month-long series of events at the high school that will educate, entertain and inform.

Highlights this year include:

  •  A Women-Only Self Defense Class led by Officer Rachael Mead of the Groton Police Department.  (High School: Thursday 3/16 6-8 p.m.)
  • Two Movie Nights: “Won’t Back Down” starring Viola Davis and Maggie Gyllenhaal (High School/Black Box Theatre, Wed 3/12 6-8 p.m.) and “Ironed Jawed Angels” starring Hillary Swank (Dunstable Public Library, Tuesday 3/18 6-8 p.m.)
  • Historical Fashion Show & Clothing Swap (High School, Thursday 3/20 6-8 p.m.)
  • Our first Annual Book Group featuring Charlotte Wainsman’s “Her Story: A Timeline of Women Who Changed America.” (High School Library,Thursday 3/20 3-4:30 p.m.)
  • A talk from award winning speaker and author Dr Charlotte Wainsman speaking about her novel “Her Story: A Timeline of Women Who Changed America”  (High School, Thursday 3/27 6-8 p.m.)
  • Our Annual Women’s History Month Tea. (High School, Sunday 3/30 1-3 p.m.)
