She was born in Groton on October 22, 1929, grew up in Groton, and was a graduate of Groton High School, Class of 1947. She was married in 1955 to Edwin Naylor Jr., who died in 2012. She worked at the Hartnett Tannery in Ayer, as a nurse’s aid at Nashoba Hospital, as a receptionist in the emergency room at Nashoba Hospital, and as a receptionist at North Middlesex Bank in Ayer.
Louise was a member of the Professional Women’s Club of Ayer. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and making her own clothing.
She is survived by her sons Thomas R. Foster of Plainville and Edwin Naylor III, of Townsend; daughter Lynne Foster of Trenton, New Jersey; a brother, Harold Herbert, of Nevada; a sister, Carol Chalmers, of West Groton; eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late William Naylor, who died in 1978.
A graveside service will be held in the spring.
