Groton received it’s third official (according to the school system) snow day today, and things in town quieted down under more than a foot of white. The schools shut down, Town Hall closed early, Buddha Nest Yoga canceled classes, Groton Wellness closed early … things were very quiet, livened only by barking dogs romping and welcoming snow plows on town roads and streets.
The National Weather Service summed things up at 4 p.m., broadcasting: Snow likely this evening. Total snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches. Lows around 13. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 60 percent.”
A number of talented Groton photographers recorded the scene outside, sometimes joining in and sometimes just shooting through the window or off the porch.
