He will be greatly missed by Charles; Joe and Mary; his special nieces, Joanne and Camie; and many other loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful husband, father, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed.
Rizzo was a WW II veteran and retired from Hollingsworth & Vose after working there for 50 years. He was also a proud retired volunteer firefighter from the West Groton Fire Department. “Romie” was an avid golfer and fisherman, a member of the VFW, and a regular visitor to the Pepperell Senior Center. He was also a founding member of the Squannacook Sportsman’s Club in West Groton.
Visiting hours are on Friday, January 24, from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Badger Funeral Home. 45 School Street, Groton, Massachusetts. The funeral will be Saturday, January 25, at 10 a.m. in St. James Church on St. James Street, West Groton, Massachusetts.
