The Groton Farmers Market will host a special Thanksgiving market on Saturday, November 23 at the Williams Barn, 160 Chicopee Row from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Many of the Market’s regular seasonal vendors including Kirk Farm, Chad Spicza, Tully Farm, and Drema Cady will supply vegetables for the Thanksgiving table: squash, pumpkins, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, kale, and even a few surprises — fresh, local cranberries. Wines from Still River Winery and Zoll’s will complete your holiday table. And hot cider, doughnuts, and chili will be available to keep you warm while you shop.
Herbs from J. Gilson Greenhouses, honey, chutneys, jellies, preserves from Common View Farm, granola from Golden Girl Granola, and pies from Wilkins Farm will be available. Don’t forget fresh bagels from Bagel Alley, Williams Barn crackers and hermits, and a variety of apples from Autumn Hills Orchard.
In addition, seasonal items made in Groton and suitable for gift-giving will be for sale. Check out Luina Greine Alpaca products, Heather Wilson’s hand silk screened apparel, Flo Gilson’s baby sets, Little Acres Farm’s goats milk soap and hand cream, Lori Sullivan’s calendars and cards, and Diane Stangroom’s handmade boxes.
There will also be a drawing of local gift and food items to make Thanksgiving Day complete. Shop local and support our Groton farmers and artisans. For more information, please check the website www.WilliamsBarn.org.
