Pearl grew up in Lunenburg and was a graduate of Lunenburg High School. After high school, she worked at Kemp’s Candy Factory for a time. She married in 1940. She made her home in Bedford for many years, then Townsend for more than 30 years, and most recently Ayer. Pearl was very active in the Townsend Senior Citizens Group and was a member of the Groton Baptist Church.
Selfridge is survived by a son, Richard P. Selfridge of Townsend; a daughter, Linda Mae Canale of Greenville, TN; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of Donald A. Selfridge, who died in 1987.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton, on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m., with burial in Groton Cemetery, Groton MA.
