It’s Grotonfest time again and I am so pleased to say we are full to the brim with booths (We have a waiting list if you would still like to send a request.). We’ll feature lots of great food; artisan demonstrations sponsored by Three Rivers Arts; continuous entertainment featuring Peter Ward and Amarillo who play a combination of Western Swing and Country; Animal Adventures; and some new groups. Of course our Groton-area businesses and non-profits will be there to let everyone know what they do, and local celebrities will be on stage to say a few words.
The date is Saturday, September 21 (rain date 9/22), the beginning of the fall season in New England. Check out our website, www.grotonfest.com or our Facebook page — entertainment schedules, sponsor list, and booth names will be up this week.
I want to thank Groton Wellness, North Middlesex Savings Bank, Lowell General Hospital, The Groton Trust Funds, Middlesex Savings Bank and Iss for coming in early as major sponsors; our media sponsors: Action Unlimited, Boston Globe, MediaNews Group, The Groton Herald, and The Groton Line; Dale Martin, Booth Coordinator; and Pat Kiley, Logistics Coordinator; Police Chief Don Palma and Lt. Jim Cullen; Highway Surveyor Tom Delaney; and Kevin Kelly of Groton Electric for doing such a wonderful job so far this year.
Hope to see you at the best family festival in New England on September 21.
