Groton Town Clerk Michael Bouchard reminds prospective voters in the April 30 town and state primary election that the deadline to register to vote is Wednesday, April 10th at 8:00 p.m. in the clerk’s office in Town Hall.
Also, absentee ballots for either election are available at the Town Clerk”s Office until Monday, April 29 at noon. All absentee ballots must be received by the Town Clerk by election day in order to be counted. An absentee ballot may be requested for either, or both elections. If requesting an absentee ballot for the Special State Primary, you will be asked to choose a Democratic or Republican ballot. If you are a registered party member, you will receive the ballot of your registration.
