NRWA Outdoor Wellness Walk is calling all walkers! After months of snow on the rail trail, we’re hoping for a clear sky and a clear trail.

Mary Marro, NRWA Environmental Education Director, will lead a free 45 to 60 minute Outdoor Wellness Walk on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the Nashua River Rail Trail, beginning from the Station Avenue kiosk in Groton.

The goal is to encourage people to get outdoors to improve their health and to learn more about the ecosystems along the trail. We’ll look for spring buds and birds, and other signs that the forests and wetlands are coming back to life. The trail is flat and paved; the walk is open to all ages. For the comfort of all, no dogs are allowed on this walk. Pre-registration is encouraged for planning purposes. To pre-register, or for more information, please contact Mary Marro, at 978.448.0299 or email MaryM@NashuaRiverWatershed.org.

We hope you’ll join us and get walking, get healthy, and learn more about our beautiful watershed!
