Author Visits

Two authors will visit the Groton Public Library as part of this year’s Groton READS & WRITES. Novelist Laura Moriarty will discuss her inspiration for The Chaperone, historic fiction, on Tuesday, March 26 at 7 pm. Memoir writer Mary Johnson describes her experience as a Sister of Charity in her memoir An Unquenchable Thirst on Wednesday, April 10 at 7 pm. Free and open to all, thanks to the generosity of the GPL Endowment Fund and the Groton Trust Funds’ Lecture Fund.

Don’t miss “Literature from India” by Patricia Lothrop,* Sun, Mar 10, 2-3:30 pm. Ms. Lothrop is a teacher of AP Literature at St. George’s School in Newport, RI with an A.B. from Barnard College, and PhD. from Yale University. She has lived in India and teaches extensively about this fascinating country of contrasts.
