J. W. Aiken

J. W. Aiken, a 1999 graduate of Groton-Dunstable Regional High School, returned to New England recently as part of his career in hockey. Aiken was honored by participating in the American Hockey League All Star Game as Head Equipment Manager for the Western team. The AHL All Star game was held at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island January 28, 2013.

Aiken is currently the Head Equipment Manager for the Tampa Bay Lightning’s American Hockey League affiliate team, the Syracuse Crunch in Syracuse, New York. Prior to relocating to Syracuse at the start of the 2012 season, J. W. and the Tampa Bay Lightning affiliate was with the Norfolk Admirals in Norfolk, Virginia. Norfolk had an outstanding year with a 28 game winning streak, and went on to win the most prestigious award in the AHL, the 2012 Calder Cup.

Aiken is a 2003 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Sports Management. He resides in Camillus, New York with his wife and two daughters.
