Fundraiser for Injured THS Student

I am saddened to report that Jack Trottier, a junior at Tyngsboro High School, recently suffered a serious injury in a snowboarding accident.  Jack is the quarterback of the Tyngsboro High Football Team and he recently visited G-DRHS as part of our annual captain’s breakfast prior to the Thanksgiving Day football game.

His parents are now facing many unforeseen expenses related to his accident & we would like to help with that.  Please join us in raising funds needed to help their family during this trying time.  If you would like to make a donation there a few ways to do so.  At the high school we are selling tickets to the fundraiser that is scheduled for March 2nd.  Details on that event can be found by reading the Lowell Sun Article. You can also visit the following website

Fundraising Initiative
Coat Drive at GDRHS

Beth Craig’s Tyngsborough High School Service Learning class is holding a coat drive from now until February 15th.  Larry Finn, a firefighter from Lowell recently visited THS to discuss the organization he created called “Coats from Ann Above.”

The initiative started just three short years ago and this program has collected over 1000 coats.  During the winter he distributes the much needed jackets to the homeless.  THS students are collaborating with local schools with the ambitious and noble goal of collecting 300 coats before February vacation.

We were more than happy to help with this endeavor.  There is a collection box located just outside the main office and we respectfully request all students and parents to contribute if possible.  We want to thank THS staff member Beth Craig, and students Lauren Iadarola and Morgan Mitchell for not only organizing this worthy cause, but also allowing us to take part.  Students from local communities collaborating to make a difference, that is good stuff!
