The Murphy Insurance office in Groton is the local drop-off point for the 2012 Toys For Tots campaign, organized by the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation.
In a press release, the agency invites residents to: “Join us in making the holiday happier for kids in need. Drop off a toy by December 17th, so that the Marines have time to deliver them.” Toys are distributed locally, through the regional center in Devens.
“Having served in the Marines, I’m especially glad to help the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves Toys for Tots Program. Murphy Insurance has a long history of helping families protect their whole life and supporting the communities that have helped us to be successful. Thanks for helping us to make the holidays happier for many children and their families,” Dennis F. Murphy, Jr., the agency’s CEO, said.
