Ixtapa Cantina, a family-owned and run Mexican restaurant, is set to open their fourth location in the former Oliver’s Grill, 765 Boston Road, at Four Corners later this year. Permits, including a liquor license, are still in progress but Groton is listed as “coming soon” on the restaurant’s web site.
“We feature family recipes and home-made cooking,” owner-manager Eric Brambila said. Ixtapa Groton plans to serve lunch and dinner and feature bar service. Brambila is planning a grand opening to introduce their family restaurant to Groton. Work in rehabbing the building is in progress, with evident signs of fresh exterior paint and newly paved parking lot.
Ixtapa Cantina’s current locations are Lunenberg, Lexington and Woburn, for all interested in a preview of the menu coming to town. The liquor license request is on the Board of Selectman agenda for consideration this Monday, November 5.
