The Groton Lions will hold their annual birdseed sale on Saturday November 3rd in front of the Prescott School building on Main Street in Groton. The sale will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and ultra-clean black oil sunflower, songmaker, striped sunflower, corn and thistle will be available.
Winter stresses increase the need for feeding our birds. All funds raised go to support our Groton Lions scholarship fund and eye research in Massachusetts. The Groton Lions give a major scholarship each year, and The Lions clubs of Eastern Mass. give more than $1,000,000 per year to eye researchers in the Boston Area. Their research has been responsible for many breakthroughs in eye care.
