Groton-Dunstable in conjunction with the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority will be hosting a how to pay for college night. A representative from MEFA will be present to answer questions related to the college financing process.
Lola, the community rescue and narcotics dog, will visit the high school throughout the course of the school year. She was introduced to students and staff during the first few days of school. Officer Breault is also a frequent visitor at the high school.
We recognize the importance of a close working relationship with local law enforcement officials, as we do with other local organizations and community members. Officer Breault and Lola’s frequent visits are meant to be non-threatening, and mainly serve to keep students safe and strengthen the relationship between law enforcement officials, school personnel, and students. It is important that our school is safe and drug free. With that objective in mind, we plan to practice lock down procedures in the not-so-distant future. Their visits are precautionary and preventative in nature and not due to any significant information.

The GDRHS Art Club
By Eleonora Lecei
The GDRHS Art Club is hosting its first Art and Craft Fair at the Groton-Dunstable Performing Arts Center this holiday season. The event will be held on Saturday December 8th. We invite artists and artisans working in all media to apply for space at this event including: painting, jewelry, needle crafts, sculpture, ceramics, woodworking, pottery, etc. This month the Art Club has been working on making ceramic ornaments which will be sold at the Art and Craft Fair. Students are enjoying working together collaboratively and planning for this event. We will also have a raffle for artworks that are donated by our participating artists.
This is a fundraiser event for the newly formed Art Club and will help to establish Arts Scholarships for GDHS students. We are also seeking to promote and build the arts community in the greater Groton-Dunstable region to benefit both arts professionals and for the cultural benefit of our schools and communities.
To Apply for Space at this event, please contact Ms. Lecei at [email protected]. Deadline is November 15th.
