Heading into the home stretch of this year’s election races, Groton Police Chief Donald Palma has issued a press release reminding residents that interfering with political expression could be a crime.
At the request of the Town’s Political Committees’, 1 would like to remind all citizens that removal, vandalism, or destruction of political signage or materials is an arrestabie offense. The Groton Police Department will prosecute any person(s] found committing these crimes. Furthermore it should be noted that interfering with any voter, election or ability to vote is also an arrestabie offense.

Personally I think people that put up political signs should be arrested for littering. Not to mention reckless endangerment since half the time they are put up at the end of streets blocking a driver’s view while trying to pull out into traffic.
