Saturday’s 2012 Grotonfest started out as a soft misty and cool day, but just after fall officially started, the clouds broke and sunshine and good crowds covered Legion Common. Event coordinator Jane Bouvier said on Tuesday that the total number of visitors was between three and five thousand people and confirmed that all 175 booths were occupied. “Always wonderful to see all the Groton faces, happy to see everyone together with no agenda. Without our business and media partners we couldn’t pull this off, Chief Palma and Lt. Cullen do an amazing job with security, Highway Superintendent Tom Delaney does such a great job for us, Anne Thibeau, our logistics and artisan coordinator does such a good job as does Dale Martin, business and non-profit coordinator,” she said.
The 34th annual fall festival was the second under the direction of the Groton Board of Trade.
