
MCAS 2012-2011 High School Comparison (2012 is left; 2011 is right)
The state Department of Education released its rankings of individual schools and districts according to MCAS scores administered last school year. Groton-Dunstable Regional stayed near the top ranks, and showed a marked improvement in 10th grade English scores.
“The MCAS Scores for Groton-Dunstable students are steady over time and very strong in comparison to state percentages in advance and proficient categories. The percentages of advanced and proficient scores for Groton-Dunstable students in the 2012 testing program are generally more than 15 points higher than state averages. Teachers and students in the Groton-Dunstable schools continue to excel in the administration of MCAS. For example, 100% of students at Groton-Dunstable High School achieved either advanced or proficient on the 10th grade English Language Arts exam,” G-DRSD Superintendent Anthony Dent wrote in an e-mail.
