The second annual “Woodstock” show at the Groton Gazebo in Town Field behind the Groton Public Library lets the sunshine in this Saturday evening, August 25. Now fondly called “Grotonstock,” this year’s show may top last years attendance record’, according to organizer Bob Wright. He encouraged people to “Come early, wear your tie-dyes, headbands, and bell bottoms and re-live the historic 1969 concert. This is the perfect fun, summer night out for the entire family… including the family dog! Performers include Back to the Garden, Fran LaMalva, Jon McAuliffe, Susanna Doyle, Dave Fitzgibbons, and Blue Moves.
The concert begins at 5:30 p.m., a half hour earlier than other concerts in the Groton Summer Concert Series produced by Wright’s Main Street Cafe.
The last show of the 2012 season will be Sept. 1 when “Groton Goes Country” with Nashville recording artist David R. Smith. This show also start at 5:30 p.m.
