The Chamber Chorus got up at 5:30 am to travel down to the Weymouth Bayside Festival (Olympic sailing venue), with a stop at Stonehenge. It was Cheerio, all!!! Then we got a news update from London. We did not get all the way to Weymouth before we found out about the performance. KI Concerts was in contact with us early in the AM and tried very hard to find another venue for the same day. That was not possible. So we did a tour of the city of Bath.
Afterwards we visited London Live at Hyde park and watched several Olympic events with
thousands of Team GB fans. It was particularly fun to witness their celebration
of the 2 cycling golds! The place erupted!!
We did get back to the hotel for our scheduled 9 p.m. dinner.
