Pat Lawrence and Sister Robert Anne Bring Nunsense On Stage

Groton’s Pat Lawrence says: “I will be getting in the habit to “teach” Sister Robert Anne’s Cabaret Class for Stratton Players!” For the next two weekends, August 3, 4, 10 and 11 at 8 p.m. and August 5 and 12 at 2 p.m., Brooklyn-born Sister Robert Anne showcases a celebration of songs from the entire NUNSENSE series, interspersed with humorous stories and audience interaction. As the Sister “teaches” the audience how to put together a cabaret act, she takes them on a journey of some of the most memorable numbers by award-winning composer Dan Goggin.

This past June she was honored to be named “Best Actress” at the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres Festival for her role in Harvard Community Theatre’s musical, “Crossing Brooklyn.” That show also garnered four additional awards, including one for Outstanding Production, enabling it to move forward to the New England Regional Festival in February of 2013. Lawrence also sings with the acapella group Custom Blend (www.customblend.org), plays competitive USA pool with her ever-patient husband, Jay, and tries to (s)mother her last fledgling, 17 year-old Jimmy (20 year old Izzy already flew the nest!).
