Sandra Gintner Colt, 63, of Groton, passed away at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer on July 16, 2012. She was born in Groton on March 17, 1949, daughter of the late John and Dorothy Gintner. She was the wife of the late Lester R. Colt Jr., who died in 1978.

A lifelong resident of Groton, Sandra was a 1968 graduate of Groton High School. She worked at Sterilite in Townsend for many years and then worked as cafeteria manager at the Prescott School in Groton since 1996. Sandra loved crocheting, cooking, and especially her family.

She is survived by three children: Michael R. Colt of Townsend, Leslie Colt of Groton, and Lisa Cain of Groton. Also brother John Gintner Jr. of Shirley, sister Patricia Macinnis and her husband Kelvin of Prince Edeard Island, and granddaughter Katrina R. Colt of Groton.

Visiting hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St. Groton on Thursday July 19, from 7-9 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local American Cancer Society.
