Save the date for the Groton Dunstable Education Foundation’s 3rd annual Octoberfest 5K – Road Race, Walk and Kids Run, Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Larter Memorial Field, Groton Street, Dunstable. Last year’s event drew over 350 participants, raising approximately $10,000 for educational grants to all five public schools in Groton and Dunstable.
The 5K Road Race and Walk follow the same closed certified course, with walkers beginning at 8:30 a.m., followed by runners at 9 a.m. The Kids Run features races for grades K-6 around the Larter track by grade level between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Register before Sept. 24th to receive a $5 registration discount and a guaranteed race t-shirt.
