Edwin Loriston Naylor, Jr.

Edwin Loriston Naylor, Jr., a long-time resident of Groton, died on July 6. Born in Malden on April 11, 1920, Ed grew up in Roslindale and graduated from Boston English High School. He entered the Merchant Marine and served during World War II. After the war, he went to work for Hartnett Tannery and worked there until the tannery burned in 1961. He then worked for Murray Printing for 35 years until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Louise Naylor; his son Edwin Naylor Ill and his wife Diane of Townsend; his stepson Thomas Foster of Hyde Park; his grandchildren Amanda and Caitlyn; many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters Elizabeth Savini of Dunstable and Lois Woods of Nashua. He was predeceased by his son Billy and sister Virginia Hoffman. Services will be private at the convenience of his family. Donations in his memory may be made to Parkinson’s Research.
