Michele Truex and her family entertained one of the Route 40 bears on July third, for breakfast. She writes: “We heard a crash this morning at around 5:00 a.m. and woke up to find this bear enjoying our bird feeder in the backyard. Just when we thought it was safe to put the feeders back out again…..! We watched him (or her) for about a half hour before “shooing” it away. I suspect these are part of the Rt 40 bears as we live at 1036 Lowell Road, amazingly close to where the May photos were taken. Although a little unnerving, this bear was beautiful!”
