Groton Local Sponsors “Earth Day in Groton” On Sunday 04/22

Groton Local will host “Earth Day in Groton” at the Williams Barn, 160 Chicopee Rd, Groton on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Everyone is invited to drop by between 1:00 — 5:00 p.m., rain or shine.

There will be something for all young and young-at-heart in the spirit of Spring! 3Rivers Arts will make puppets with the kids. There will be Q & A displays about composting and worm bins, backyard chickens, bee hives and honey. Nashoba Paddler will get you excited about canoeing our rivers and lakes. Other participants and exhibitors include Nashua River Watershed Association, Groton Electric Light Department, TLC365, Martin Computer Recycling, the Groton Greenway River Festival (set for June 24), Transformations-Zero Energy Homes, and many more!

Upcycler’s will display and model creations fashioned from repurposed materials. The Contra Banditos will provide some music and a small theater will screen a variety of “earth” videos. Come by and celebrate “Earth Day in Groton” with Groton Local.
