Hedwig Kasprowicz Fitzpatrick, 88, of Bayberry Road, Groton died at Apple Valley Center in Ayer on December 14, 2011. She was born in Richmond Hills, New York on July 22, 1923, daughter of the late John and Apolonia (Czachor) Kasprowicz. She grew up in Richmond Hill, NY and worked as a telephone operator for New York Telephone. There she met and married Eugene Fitzpatrick. They moved to Queens Village, NY where they had two children and lived for 48 years. They moved to Groton eight years ago and were a member of St. Catherine’s Church in Westford.
She is survived by her husband Eugene Fitzpatrick of Groton; two sons, Daniel Fitzpatrick of Yorktown Heights, NY and Michael Fitzpatrick of Groton, MA; five grandchildren, Laura, Kara, Kathleen, Sean & Kevin. She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Catherine’s Church at a date to be announced in the spring.
