Gloria was active in local political affairs most of her adult life, offering passionate and often feisty support to issues argued at Town Meeting; she achieved the rare notoriety of being widely known only by her first name. She was instrumental in bringing improvements and recognition to the Lost Lake community and served on the Planning Board’s Roads Committee in the early 1980′s, an effort which culminated in the acceptance and improvement of the roads in Lost Lake as town roads.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Richard R. Fuccillo, and her son, Richard M. Fuccillo, both of Groton.
Visiting Hours will be Friday, December 2, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Badger Funeral Home 45 School St., Groton, MA. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 3, at 11 a.m. with burial at Groton Cemetery.
