Born in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late James Noble Clark and Elizabeth (Daniher) Clark and a direct descendent of Hugh Clark of Watertown who came to Boston from England in 1630 with Governor John Winthrop.
Priscilla Little was a graduate of the Winsor School and Vassar College Class of 1946. She met her future husband, Thomas W. Little Jr., while both were actively involved in the campaign to elect D. D. Eisenhower for President. They enjoyed meeting him and Mamie while traveling on the campaign train on Election Eve from Boston to New York.
Married in 1953, they made their home in Groton for 58 years. Priscilla was a member of the Skating Club of Boston, and the Vassar Club of Boston. She had a beloved summer residence in West Harwich, and was a member of the Allen Harbor Yacht Club and the Wychmere Harbor Club.
She was Chairman and Treasurer of the Groton Holiday Dance for 10 years, taught CCD for Sacred Heart Church, was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, a volunteer in the schools and was a member of the Groton-Dunstable Regional School Committee for 6 years.
She is survived by her children, Faith Clark Little of Groton; Ann Bradford McCulloch of Billings, MT and her husband Scott; Thomas Wolcott Little III and his wife Jill Ratner of Oakland, CA; Priscilla M.D. Little and her husband Robert S. Ryan, Jr. of Medford; Elizabeth Hope Macary and her husband Philippe of Northampton; Sarah Noble Boutin and her husband Tim of Merrimack, NH; and Margaret (Meg) Drummond Avery and her husband Rob of South Yarmouth. She is also survived by her two loving step-daughters, Deborah Wyman of Stonington, ME; and Elizabeth Leyre and her husband Daniel of Montelimar, France. She was a loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. She also leaves a cousin, Norma Baker, of Pawtucket, RI. To these survivors she leaves a legacy of love for each other and for the beach, the memories of which were so dear to her.
At her request, there will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Grace Parish, at St. James Church in West Groton on Friday August 5 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
