We’d like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the amazing outpouring of love and support that made our recent fundraiser, Brighter Days, such a successful event. It was a magical night as the Groton Country Club was filled to capacity. Everyone seemed to have a great time, and everyone was supportive of our efforts.
We benefited from the generosity of several local businesses and friends who donated items for a silent auction and we send our thanks to all of them: Alice Ann Barbo, Alicia Hersey, Blackbird Café, Chaos to Calm, Donna Lynch, Filho’s Cucina, GDAY, Gibbet Hill Grill, Greco Graphics, Groton Exchange, Groton Market, Groton Toy Shoppe, Kate Nelson, Kathy Boczenowski, Katryn Miller, Lavender, Limerick Heritage Alpacas, Main St Café, Mary & Tom Hanson, Nancy Kaelin, Nashoba Paddler, PC Myette, Peter Schultz Home Improvement, Steve Liljegren, Sullivan’s Barbershop, and Tucker Smith.
The event ran very smoothly thanks to the efforts of Leigh Ann Colvin and the Groton Country Club. There were delicious hors d’oeuvres prepared by Joanne Csaplar and served by GDRHS students. And foot-stomping music was provided by the Indian Hill Big Band.
Our family has been blessed by the friendship of a group of friends that we call Teenage Anxiety & Depression Solutions (TADS). Thanks to Alice Lenhart who designed the beautiful posters, and special thanks go to Sara Clinton, Betsy Dolan, and Chris & Emily Mills who organized this event.
The proceeds of this event will help to bring a mental health referral service, Project INTERFACE, to Groton and other towns in the area – we will soon be sharing more information about this service. In closing, we wish to thank all those who have supported us in so many ways over the past sixteen months.
